Chauburji

Chauburji — "four towers" — is a free-standing Mughal gateway in the middle of a roundabout south of the Walled City, the surviving entrance to a vanished Mughal garden. Built in 1646, it consists of a central arch flanked by four octagonal corner minarets, faced with intricate tile-mosaic in floral patterns.

Whether the original garden was Princess Zebunissa's or her aunt Jahanara's is still argued by Lahore historians. The gardens themselves disappeared centuries ago; what remains is one of the city's most photogenic stand-alone monuments, particularly at golden hour.
