Punjab University (Old Campus)

The original campus of Punjab University (founded 1882) sits on the Mall near Government College — a cluster of Indo-Saracenic red-brick buildings with arcaded courtyards and a long colonnaded library. The most prominent building is the Senate Hall, with its central dome and pair of corner turrets.

The university moved most of its activity to the New Campus (the Quaid-e-Azam campus) in the 1960s, but several faculties — Oriental Studies, Law, Pharmacy — still operate from the Old Campus. The buildings are usually accessible to respectful visitors during the daytime.
