Al Kawthar Mosque is a local mosque in Hebron with an unusual archaeological detail in front of it: remains of an older wall and church structure, said to be about a thousand years old, have been exposed nearby.
It is a short, low-key stop rather than one of Hebron's major sights. The interest is in the layering of religious buildings and excavated stone around an active neighbourhood mosque.
