Things to Do

Nablus rewards slow exploration. The old city — one of the best-preserved Ottoman-era urban cores in the West Bank — is the main draw, with a working souq, historic mosques, a Samaritan quarter, and a Turkish bath that has been heating water since 1480. Mount Gerizim to the south offers views over the city and access to the Samaritan community's sacred site. The soap factories in the old city represent an industry that has operated here for centuries.
