Temple of Leah

Roman-inspired hilltop monument above Cebu City with broad views over the coast

The Temple of Leah is a grand, deliberately theatrical monument in the hills above Cebu City. Built as a private tribute, it borrows from Roman temples: columns, broad staircases, statues, and terraces that frame the city and sea below.

Come for the view and the oddity as much as the architecture. It is a popular photo stop, but the scale is striking in person, and the drive up into Busay also gives a good feel for how quickly Cebu rises from dense urban coast to cooler hillside suburbs.
