Koronadal Public Market

The Koronadal Public Market is one of the more orderly and navigable public markets in Mindanao. The fresh produce section reflects the agricultural wealth of South Cotabato — a province that produces some of the best asparagus, cut flowers, pineapples, and vegetables in the Philippines. The fish section, particularly in the mornings, carries local varieties from inland rivers and from the Gulf coast at General Santos.

The pasalubong (souvenir) section at one end of the market is where you can pick up T'boli woven textiles, beaded jewellery, and traditional crafts made by the Indigenous peoples of the surrounding highlands. Prices here are lower than in Manila or tourist-focused shops elsewhere, and the quality is generally good. The market is most active in the early morning and is largely closed by mid-afternoon. Arrive before 9am for the best selection.
