Sonya's Garden

Sonya's Garden is an organic farm and restaurant spread across several hectares in the hills east of Tagaytay centre. The concept is simple and well-executed: a working organic garden where herbs, vegetables, and edible flowers grow around a series of open-air dining pavilions. The set-price menu changes daily depending on what is ready to harvest and uses almost entirely what is grown on site.

Meals are served family style and typically run to five or six courses — salads from the garden, house-baked bread, a soup, a main dish, and desserts made with fresh herbs. The pace is deliberately unhurried and the setting, particularly in the morning when dew is still on the plants and the air is cool, is quietly beautiful. Reservations are strongly recommended on weekends; the place has been popular for years and fills up fast.

Beyond the restaurant, the property has a small spa, accommodation (cottages scattered through the garden), and a shop selling dried herbs, jams, and other garden products. It is not cheap by Philippine standards, but it is genuinely good and the produce is as fresh as it comes.
