Getting There

By air: Tuguegarao Airport (IATA: TUG) is about 3 kilometres north of the city centre. Cebu Pacific and PAL Express operate direct flights from Manila (about 1 hour). The airport is small but functional; tricycles and taxis wait outside.

By bus: Several operators run overnight buses from Manila's Araneta City Bus Terminal, with journey times of 9–12 hours depending on traffic. Florida Bus Lines is well regarded for its reclining sleeper seats. Buses arrive at the Tuguegarao City Grand Terminal, from which the city centre is a short tricycle ride.

By private vehicle: From Manila, the journey north via the Pan-Philippine Highway (Maharlika Highway) takes 8–10 hours depending on stops. The road passes through Isabela province before entering Cagayan Valley.
