St. Hyacinth Church

St. Hyacinth Church is an elevated historic chapel in Tuguegarao, traditionally dated to 1604. That makes it older than the city's better-known cathedral and one of the more atmospheric religious buildings in the area.

Its history is not only ecclesiastical: American soldiers used the chapel as a headquarters during the Philippine-American War. Visit for a quick but worthwhile look at Cagayan's early colonial layer.
