Pasonanca Park

Pasonanca Park is the city's main green space, in the hills about 6 km north of downtown. Spread across a forested ridge above the Tumaga River watershed, it is a mix of formal gardens, swimming pools, a treehouse you can rent for the night, an aviary, and miradores (lookouts) facing back over the city to the strait.

It is a long-standing weekend favourite for Zamboangueño families — picnics, kids in the pools, slow walks through the gardens. The Pasonanca Boy Scouts Camp is one of the oldest in the country. A tricycle or jeepney from downtown gets you there in 20 minutes.
