Tahliah Street

Jeddah's main fashion and dining boulevard

The city's most polished boulevard, four lanes wide and lined with international fashion brands, jewellers, gold shops, cafes, and restaurants. Properly called Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Street, but Tahliah ("the desalination") is what everyone uses.

The street is most active after sunset, when the heat eases and Jeddah's well-off come out to dine and walk. The mid-section between the Andalus and Sari intersections is the dressiest. Combine an evening here with shopping in the malls along the same axis.
