Dalseong Park is one of Daegu’s older green spaces, laid out around the remains of an ancient earthen fortress. The low ramparts, mature trees, and city views give it a different mood from the shopping streets and modern lake parks elsewhere in Daegu.
Come for a walk rather than a checklist attraction. The park is most interesting when you read it as a surviving piece of old Daegu: a fortified hill absorbed into the city, now used by locals for shade, exercise, and a little breathing room near the centre.
