Oseosan is the bigger walking objective around Hongseong, rising to about 790 metres on the border with neighbouring counties. The climb is more of a day hike than Yongbongsan, and the reward is a broader look across Chungcheong's inland ridges and west-coast lowlands.
Choose Oseosan if you came for hiking rather than a short town stop. In autumn, the grasses and cooler air make the ridge especially attractive.
