Yongbongsan Mountain is only 381 metres high, but it behaves like a larger mountain in miniature. The ridge has knobbly rock formations, pines, and quick-changing views over the fields and low hills of South Chungcheong.
It is a good choice when you want a proper Korean hill walk without committing to a long national-park day. Trails also pass small cultural sites, including Yongbongsa Temple, so the climb feels more layered than a simple viewpoint.
