Marble Beach lies south of Trincomalee on the Kinniya road, in a small bay where the water is often calmer and clearer than on the exposed beaches north of town. The name is a little grand, but the appeal is real: pale sand, turquoise water, and a setting that feels tucked away from the main beach strip.
It is a good half-day swim rather than a full resort scene. Facilities are limited and access arrangements can change around the managed beach area, so bring what you need and check locally before making the trip. The reward is a quieter alternative to Nilaveli and Uppuveli when the sea is behaving.
