Wenhua Road Night Market is Chiayi's central evening food strip, running close to the city centre rather than out by a suburban road. It is busy, practical, and local, with stalls selling turkey rice, fried snacks, bubble tea, grilled meats, and sweets.
This is the easiest place to eat well if you only have one night in town. Come hungry, graze slowly, and do not treat the first queue as proof that everything else can be skipped.
