Xiaojingua Peak, or the Xiaojingua Gold Outcrop, is a compact hiking target above the old mining settlements around Jiufen and Jinguashi. The name points back to the gold-bearing rock that helped make this hillside famous, and the views connect the mining ruins to the sea below.
It is best as part of a walking day rather than a stand-alone destination. Combine it with Jiufen's lanes, Jinguashi, or nearby ridgeline paths, and avoid wet or windy conditions when the exposed sections feel much less forgiving.
