The nearest city is Kaohsiung (about 90 minutes by bus or car). Buses run every 30–40 minutes from Kaohsiung train station and from Kaohsiung International Airport to Hengchun; from Hengchun local buses cover the 7 km to Kenting. The journey can also be done by high-speed rail to Zuoying (Kaohsiung) then bus. No direct train service reaches the cape.
