Ko Kradan sits inside Hat Chao Mai National Park and is one of the most beautiful islands in the province — a slim finger of land surrounded by coral reefs with water so clear that the reef is visible from the beach. There are no roads and no large resorts: a handful of simple bungalow operations and the national park accommodation are the only options.
Snorkelling directly from the beach is exceptional, with healthy hard and soft corals close to shore. The island can be combined with Ko Muk on a longtail day trip from Hat Pakmeng, though an overnight stay is better. The Valentine's Day underwater wedding ceremony held here annually — in which couples exchange vows in the shallows — has made the island a modest celebrity.
