Most visitors arrive via Bangkok. Express buses leave from Ekkamai (Eastern Bus Terminal) and take around two hours to reach Pattaya, from where a songthaew or taxi covers the final ten kilometres south to Jomtien. Taxis from Bangkok take roughly ninety minutes outside rush hour.
The closest airport is U-Tapao (UTP), about 30 kilometres south of Jomtien, with a growing number of domestic and regional flights. From Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, the drive to Jomtien takes around ninety minutes via the Motorway (Route 7).
