Jomtien is first and foremost a beach — six kilometres of yellow sand, a long sea-view promenade, and watersports operators along the length of it. But the location works well as a base for the bigger sights around Pattaya: the Sanctuary of Truth, the Khao Chi Chan Buddha mountain, the night markets, and the boat trip across to Koh Larn island. Two or three days here cover both the beach and the main excursions comfortably.
