Sam Roi Yot National Park, about an hour south, is the standout day trip — limestone peaks, wetlands, and the royal pavilion inside Phraya Nakhon Cave. Further south again, the old provincial capital of Prachuap Khiri Khan makes a quieter, less touristed alternative to Hua Hin itself, with its own bay, seafront hill, and not-quite-discovered beaches.
