Hua Hin has one of the lowest rainfalls of any beach town in Thailand. The cool and dry season from November to February is the most pleasant, with temperatures around 25°C and consistent sunshine. March to June is hot and humid but still sunny. The rainy season (May to October) brings short bursts of rain rather than sustained downpours, and the beaches are rarely unpleasant.
The Thai New Year (Songkran) in mid-April fills the streets with water fights and is fun if you come prepared. The Hua Hin Jazz Festival in June and the International Kite Festival in March attract visitors. Book in advance for all major Thai public holidays, as Hua Hin is a popular domestic destination.
