Hua Hin's beach runs for several kilometres right through the centre of town, easy to reach on foot with no roads to cross. South of town, Khao Takiab Beach is quieter, backed by the hill and golden Buddha of Khao Takiab. Beyond that, Suan Son is lined with casuarina pines and feels almost empty on weekdays. North toward Cha-am the beach widens and turns more resort-oriented but is still pleasant for a long walk.
