Suan Son Pradiphat, or Sea Pine Tree Garden, is a quiet stretch of white sand about 8 km south of Hua Hin, shaded by rows of casuarina pines. The beachside land belongs to the Army Welfare Office, originally set up as a retreat for soldiers and veterans, which keeps it less developed and less crowded than the beaches closer to town.
It's a good spot to escape the crowds for an afternoon — a place for resting in the shade and listening to the waves rather than any organised activity.
