İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) is about an hour and a quarter to the north and is the main air gateway. It has direct flights from most major European cities, especially in summer, and from across Turkey. Bus services from the airport run to Kuşadası roughly every two hours; a taxi or pre-booked private transfer costs more but takes only an hour.
Buses (otobüs) from İzmir, Selçuk, Aydın, and other regional cities pull into the otogar on the eastern edge of town, with regular onward dolmuş minibuses into the centre. Long-distance buses from Istanbul, Ankara, and the south coast also call here.
By sea, Kuşadası's port handles the daily ferries to Samos in Greece and a steady flow of cruise ships through summer. The cruise terminal is right at the foot of the old town, which is one reason cruise passengers can step off and be in the historic core within five minutes.
