The Abu Dhabi outpost of SeaWorld, opened in 2023, with the deliberate decision not to feature orcas or cetacean shows — a break with the brand's history. Instead the focus is on a vast central aquarium and themed marine habitats from the polar regions to the tropics, presented across multiple levels.
The five million litre central tank with sharks, rays, and shoals of pelagic fish is the standout. There is also an attached research and rescue centre that runs visiting programmes. Worth a half-day; combinable with a Yas Mall lunch.
