Pier 7 is a striking cylindrical tower beside Dubai Marina Mall, given over entirely to dining — seven floors, seven restaurants and bars, each on its own level with a wraparound terrace over the water. The line-up runs from Asian and Mediterranean to a couple of late-opening bars, and the conceit is that you can move up or down the building for drinks at one level and dinner at another.
The point of the place is the view: every floor looks straight out over the Marina towers and the yachts, and it is at its best after dark when the skyline lights up. Book ahead for the higher floors at weekends. It is a polished, slightly pricey night out, very much in the Marina spirit.
