Da Nang International Airport is within the city limits, 3 km from the centre. Direct international flights arrive from Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and several Chinese cities. Domestic routes connect Da Nang to Hanoi (1 hour), Ho Chi Minh City (1 hour), and most major Vietnamese airports.
By rail, Da Nang station is on the North–South Reunification Express line, with trains to Hanoi (~14 hours on the fastest service), Huế (2.5–3 hours), and Ho Chi Minh City (~15 hours). The train through the Hải Vân Pass north towards Huế is one of the most scenic rail journeys in Vietnam.
Sleeper buses from Hanoi, Huế, and Ho Chi Minh City are cheaper than trains and widely used.
