The city's biggest draw is the Museum of Cham Sculpture — the finest collection of Cham Hindu art in the world, housed in a purpose-built French colonial building. The Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn), five limestone outcrops rising from the coastal plain just south of the city, are riddled with Buddhist caves, grottoes, and pagodas that have been pilgrimage sites for centuries.
The city's other signature attraction is the Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng) across the Hàn River, built in the shape of a dragon stretching 666 metres; on Friday and Saturday evenings it breathes fire and water. The Han River Bridge nearby is a cable-stayed swing bridge that rotates 90 degrees — the first rotating bridge in Vietnam.
North of the city across the Hàn River, the Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain) rises to over 600 metres, with the giant Lady Buddha statue visible from most of the city. My Khe Beach (the former "China Beach"), a 20 km crescent of sand, runs from the city past the Marble Mountains to the resort strip south of town.
