Bính Bridge

The Bính Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Cấm River, completed in 2005 with Japanese funding and design. At 1,280 metres it was one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in Vietnam at the time and is the principal road link between central Haiphong and the northern districts.

It is not a sight in the traditional sense, but the bridge is a striking modern landmark and the views from the pedestrian path along its side are some of the best of the river port and shipyards. At night it is lit in colour and visible from much of the city centre.
