Mine Action Visitor Center

The Mine Action Visitor Center explains the continuing impact of unexploded ordnance in Quang Tri province, one of the areas of Vietnam still most affected by wartime bombs, shells, and mines. Exhibits focus less on battlefield drama than on the daily work of survey, clearance, education, and support for people injured by UXO.

It is a sobering but useful stop before visiting the former DMZ sites around Dong Ha. The context makes places such as Hien Luong Bridge, Vinh Moc Tunnels, and Khe Sanh feel less like isolated war landmarks and more like parts of a landscape still dealing with the aftermath.
