Eating Out

Qui Nhon is a fishing city, and the seafood is excellent. The freshest options are at the informal restaurants behind the main beach, where the catch arrives each morning. Local specialities worth seeking out include banh xeo (sizzling rice crepe filled with shrimp and bean sprouts), bun cha ca (rice noodles with fish cakes in a lightly spiced broth), and grilled squid straight from the charcoal braziers that line the seafront at dusk.

The morning market on Tran Hung Dao Street is the best place to eat like a local — noodle stalls set up before dawn and serve until the mid-morning rush. Prices throughout the city are considerably lower than in Hoi An or Da Nang.
