Qui Nhon's centre is compact enough to walk, but hiring a motorbike is the best way to explore the beaches and Cham towers in the surrounding area. Motorbike rental shops are concentrated near the main market and in the backpacker guesthouses on Nguyen Hue Street. Expect to pay around 100,000–150,000 VND per day for a basic scooter.
Grab (the Southeast Asian ride-hailing app) operates in Qui Nhon and is reliable for getting across town without negotiating fares. Cyclos (three-wheeled pedicabs) are still used in the old part of the city and offer a slow but pleasant way to see the centre. Taxis are metered and readily available outside the larger hotels and the bus station.
For Ky Co beach, boats depart from Nhon Ly village, reached by motorbike or taxi from the city. The boat operators there run regular services to the beach during daylight hours in good weather.
