The city's main beach stretches nearly five kilometers along the eastern edge of the peninsula, curving in a broad arc from the fishing harbour in the north down to the rocky headland at the south. The sand is pale and firm, the water generally clean, and the beach genuinely uncrowded by Vietnamese coastal standards.
The northern end, closest to the fishing port, is more local in character — early mornings bring fishermen spreading their nets and children swimming before school. The southern stretch, towards the rocky headland, is quieter and more scenic. Several seafood restaurants line the road behind the beach, with fresh catch direct from the boats each morning.
