Things to Do

Marib's archaeological sites are spread across a landscape of desert plains and mountain passes south-west of the modern town. The Great Dam, the temples of the Sabaean moon god Almaqah, and the ancient wells and diversion dams all lie within a radius of about 10 kilometres. Before the civil war, visitors could see most of the major sites in a single long day.
