Bowral is the Southern Highlands' main town and has enough to fill a weekend easily. Cricket history, fine gardens, heritage architecture, antique shops, and the surrounding countryside are the main draws. The tulip season in spring draws large crowds from Sydney — if you want the town at its most photogenic but least quiet, come in October.
