Chinamans Beach is a sheltered harbour beach on Sydney's lower north shore, close to Balmoral but usually quieter. The water is calm, the sand is backed by grass, and the setting feels more local than the city's headline surf beaches.
It works best as a relaxed swim or picnic stop, especially if you are already exploring Mosman, Balmoral, or the northern harbour walks. There are fewer services than at larger beaches, so bring what you need.
