Darlinghurst Gaol is a 19th-century sandstone prison complex now used by the National Art School. Visitors can still read the old penal layout in the walls, watchtower, and courtyards, and the site carries stories from colonial Sydney, including the execution of the bushranger Captain Moonlight.
