North Head

North Head is the high, wind-exposed headland at the northern entrance to Sydney Harbour. The clifftop tracks have wide views over the Pacific, the harbour mouth, and back toward the city, with whale watching possible in season.

Come for a half-day from Manly, combining the lookouts with the former quarantine station, coastal heath, and harbour beaches. The headland feels surprisingly remote for somewhere so close to the ferry.
