The Strand Arcade is one of Sydney's best surviving Victorian shopping arcades. Opened in 1891, it keeps much of its period detail, with tiled floors, ironwork, timber shopfronts, and a narrow multi-level interior.
It is still a working retail arcade, so it fits easily into a walk through the city centre between Pitt Street Mall, the Queen Victoria Building, and Martin Place.
