Susannah Place Museum

Susannah Place Museum preserves a row of four 1840s terrace houses in The Rocks, including a re-created corner shop. The small rooms, backyards, peeling surfaces, and everyday objects make the area's working-class history feel more immediate than the grander harbourfront sights nearby.

It is especially useful if you want to understand The Rocks beyond pubs and sandstone lanes. Visits are normally by guided tour, so check times before making it the anchor of a walk.
