Justice and Police Museum

The Justice and Police Museum occupies a former police station and courthouse near Circular Quay. Its restored 19th-century rooms tell Sydney's crime and policing stories through courtrooms, cells, mugshots, weapons, and cases from the city's rougher past.

It is a compact museum, easy to pair with the Rocks or the harbourfront. The building itself does much of the work: the old cells and court spaces make the history feel close rather than abstract.
