The Cathedral of St Stephen is Brisbane's Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Archbishop of Brisbane. Its sandstone walls, stained glass, and quiet nave make it a useful pause in the city centre.
Next door is St Stephen's Chapel, a small 19th-century building and the oldest surviving church in Queensland. Weekday guided tours are sometimes available.
