Alowishus Delicious is the Bourbong Street café that everyone in Bundaberg uses as the default — bright tiled room, big windows onto the street, a long counter of cabinet food, decent espresso. Breakfast is the strong meal: eggs done properly, big sourdough toast, a serious smashed-avo. Lunch is similar — generous salads, burgers, the Sunday roast.
Get there before 9 on weekends or queue. The café was founded by a local family in 2007 and has spawned a small chain across regional Queensland; the Bundaberg branch remains the original and the best.
