By air. Bundaberg Airport (BDB) has daily Qantas flights from Brisbane (under an hour). The flights to Lady Elliot Island leave from the same airport.
By car. Bundaberg is 360 km north of Brisbane on the Bruce Highway (about 4 hours non-stop). The town is a usual overnight stop between Brisbane and the Whitsundays. From Hervey Bay it is about 90 minutes.
By train. Queensland Rail's Tilt Train runs daily from Brisbane Roma Street to Bundaberg — about 4.5 hours, comfortable, and notably cheaper than flying. The slower Spirit of Queensland (Brisbane–Cairns) also stops here.
By bus. Greyhound and Premier both run coaches along the Bruce Highway corridor; the journey from Brisbane is about 6 hours.
