Bararranna Gorge is one of Arkaroola's best half-day walks, following dry creek country through hard, colourful rock. It gives you the sanctuary at walking pace: layered cliffs, gravel beds, old waterholes, and the chance of yellow-footed rock-wallabies in the quieter parts of the gorge.
Start early in warm weather and treat the walk as remote country, not a town trail. There is little shade once the sun is high.
