The Capitol

The Capitol is a heritage-listed 1920s theatre in central Melbourne, designed by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin. Its great draw is the geometric plaster ceiling, a striking mix of Art Deco and Prairie School ideas.

It began life as a cinema and is now used by RMIT for screenings, performances, and events.
