Pacific Harbour sits on the eastern Coral Coast of Viti Levu, about an hour west of Suva. It is not the place to come for a quiet village stay. Its identity is adventure tourism: shark dives, jet skis, zip lines, golf, and resort-backed day trips.
The headline reason to come is Beqa Adventure Divers, whose shark dives are among Fiji's best-known underwater experiences. If you want something less intense, The Pearl golf course and the Arts Village keep the town from being only a dive base.
Pacific Harbour works well as a day or weekend stop from Suva. It is also a useful break in a Viti Levu loop if you want action between the capital and the drier resort coast farther west.
