DeVilles is the long-standing brunch favourite, set in an old service-station building on New Street with a sunny courtyard out the back. The food is generous and the coffee is reliable — eggs Benedict, a thick rosti with smoked fish, big pancakes, lots of avocado. The queue at the door on a Saturday morning is part of the experience.
It also does dinner several nights a week, more wine-bar than restaurant, with small plates and a short list of pizzas. Either way, if you only have one breakfast in Nelson, this is a defensible choice.
